Writing a wedding ceremony and vows?

Had it all planned out in my head......sat down to put it on paper and my mind went blank!! Writers block? Scared? Did I bite off more than I can chew? My lawyer sister is certified to perform the ceremony but this will be her first. Could anyone give me a couple ideas just to get me started? We are not religious but spiritual. Are having a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle. Outdoor, gazebo garden wedding. Thanks in advance for any ideas!!!

1. Ceremony composition isn't nearly as easy as most think. It takes some time, especially if one is customizing a ceremony for a couple. We all get writer's block from time to time. Might want to watch a wedding in a movie for inspiration. This is how I usually do mine Start out with why everyone is there. The meaning of marriage Prayer or reading Charge to the couple. Question of Intent, the "Do you take" part. Wedding address (3-4 minutes for an informal ceremony) Vows Ring exchange Unity ceremony Blessing/closing words Pronouncement Kiss Introduction Take a trip to your library for ideas. Make sure you sis also meets ALL the requirements for your county.

Just as two lives together now join to become one, so will the individual sands become one as they are poured. It would be impossible to separate these sands, just as it would be impossible to separate (Bride/Groom) and (Groom/Bride)'s lives after today. This covenant is a relationship pledge between two people who love each other heartily and who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Officiant: Now we shall celebrate this union as it is symbolized through the pouring of two individual containers of sand.
