What color would look best with backdrop of..?
Andrew and I are planning on having our wedding at a local state park. It's absolutely beautiful :o) We are doing it outdoors so I am now curious as to what colors would look best on the backdrop of the woods, a golf course and the lake! Any ideas? We are having the ceremony outside in front of a wooden gazebo and reception inside :o) Thank you! I was thinking of pink and yellow.

- well it depends on what you want to go for. if you want the colors to REALLY POP OUT then i'd go for pinks, reds, ambers, oranges, and yellows. if you want the colors to just accent the nature colors then go for bright or pastel shades blues and greens.
- Hi there, your question is interesting because my wedding was in a similar-sounding place. It was on a lawn in a beautiful garden with the backdrop of the sea. It was in the summertime - I love white for outdoors, summer events - and I thought white would be especially appropriate as we were next to the sea. You might be in to very different colours but I can tell you what I chose as just an idea for you to consider. 1) White/ivory: The venue had white chair covers and tents. My husband was in an ivory jacket and waistcoat, the ushers, page boy and groomsmen wore ivory waistcoats too and I had a light ivory-colour dress, almost diamond white but as my skin is pale, I broke up the 'paleness' with a colour. 2) I chose red - red roses red! Both my favourite colour and favourite flower - by carrying a bouquet of them against the ivory of my dress. In contrast, my adult bridesmaids wore ivory and red tea dresses - they were ivory at the top, there was an empire waist so the majority of the dresses were red and they carried ivory roses against that red, opposite way round to me. 3) The green of the garden around us, in all sorts of beautiful natural shades - didn't have to do anything about this colour! :-) I know red is too strong a colour in some people's minds, they prefer softer colours for a wedding but I personally felt the 3 colours blended together really well! All 3 colours just went together so naturally, there wasn't this artificial-looking effect in a natural environment. I don't think they took away from the beauty around us one bit! The colours also had a very clean look to them, they didn't look too busy together, just simple and elegant.
