How to hire/rent things for parties?

so im having a end of schol party in about 3 weeks. im cutting back on my invite list this year, so i have more money to spend elsewhere. i really would love to have something crazy out there. like to hire a band, caterer, bartender, mm i donno. or rent a gazebo. i really just need ideas and perhaps a step by step plan to go about hiring and renting??? 1. you dont have enough time to hire a band or anything like that because they usually require being reserved months in advance. you can still get a dj though, just ask around for people who have had parties before . if you want to rent a gazeebo or a pavilion you should start looking around and asking for prices. whatever you do you need to do it quick because people like to know in advance
2. since you have the internet search for party rentals and your city location see what they have available. They may not have anything due to your time (3 weeks is very short notice plus it is graduation season) but check anyhow. As for bands you could always go to clubs and scout venues and bands that way, most bands are starving for cash and will do it if you ask! Otherwise if I were you I would go see if you can get some stuff from party city or oriental trader co. for your party and have a fun theme like grecian garden or wild wild west. If all else fails have it catered! that is money well spent!!
