How to change the setting for upgradind the memory on my Pavilion 533w?

I have an HP Pavilion 533w, I looked up the specs to upgrade the memory, and according to the specs, i bought 2 1GB PC-2100 DDR1 after installing it i had no video, is there a video setting that i have to do before installing the new memory?

1. No there is no setting needed. Your graphics is onboard so it uses system memory. Press the memory module into the slot until the end clips snap into place. Either they ram is not installed right or you are mixing RIMMS AND DIMMS See if it will work with just your new memory.
