How can i open my HP pavilion laptop to get to the power jack?

I have a HP pavilion laptop. The thing stopped getting a charge from the power cord. I have checked and the problem is not with the power cord or the battery. I am certain it is the power jack. If I could get the laptop opened, my husband could fix the jack. However, we cannot figure out how to get the darned thing open. Does anyone know how? Thanks!
